Prince Collection #1

And here are all the boys together...aren't they handsome!

FREE NOTES are posted below...get your copy of the base pattern here (because the notes don't make sense without it!) and get started on your prince collection today!

Day 5 - Prince Ferdinand

And our last prince is actually the first Disney prince...Prince Ferdinand from Snow White.  He's also known as Prince Florian (not sure why) so if you Google pictures of him you can use that name as well.  He has a couple trademarks that make him different than just a generic prince...those floppy sleeves and that huge feathery thing on his hat...and I included them for all the Snow White lovers out there.  Swing by and get the base pattern here (so these FREE notes make sense) and get started today!

I've also included a couple of sleeve options in case you don't like the flop, and I made the hat optional so you can decide if you want it sewn on or not.  I used Fun Fur for the feathery thing but you can use regular worsted yarn (and the feather pattern from Prince Phillip) if you're worried about giving Fun Fur to the recipient of the Blanket Buddy.

Thanks for sticking with me this week as I introduce my new Prince Collection...I hope you love them as much as I do!

And again, just padding my own collection...you probably should keep yours (or gift, cuz you're awesome like that), too.  *wink*

Day 4 - Eric

And today -- our favorite sea-faring prince.  He's apparently a HUGE favorite of Disney fans far and wide, overwhelmingly voted Most Handsome in many internet forums.  I would agree, especially if you don't count that hideous statue of him from the first scene.  His Blanket Buddy is a pretty easy one...just a few extra rows for his hair (yes, there are sc's right beside dc's...that was on purpose and helps add to the wind-swept look on the sides.  Trust me :) ) and some strategic color changes for his clothes.  And yes, I DID include his open-chested shirt.  :)  Swing by my Ravelry shop here to get the base pattern (otherwise these FREE notes won't make sense) and give him a whirl!

Again, he's just for my own collection...no need to make 'em mad out there in Anaheim.

Princes...because every Princess needs a hero!

So, after a ridiculously long time since my last post, I'm finally here again with some more FREE notes!  Don't get me wrong...I haven't just been sitting around.  I have published many of my Blanket Buddy patterns on Ravelry (come by and check them out here ) and my hooks have been smokin' with all the items I've been making.  But over the holidays I had a sudden inspiration...Princesses like to play with Princes!  So I set to work coming up with a super easy prince base pattern that could be easily customized to represent the Prince of your dreams.    Lots of trial and error...and gallons of coffee later...I give you my Crown Prince Blanket Buddy.  He is fully customizable and I included optional items such as a cape and a crown.  He's ready to follow his Princess on all their adventures!

I also came up with five versions of my Prince to go with five of the Princesses that I have posted before.  Each day this week I'll post FREE notes on how to turn my Crown Prince Blanket Buddy pattern into a different prince...Prince Charming, Prince Ferdinand, Sultan Aladdin, Prince Eric, and Prince Phillip.

Now, these FREE notes won't make much sense without the Base Pattern...actually they won't make ANY sense at all!...so swing by my Ravelry shop to get your copy (you can get it here...thank you!!).  Then come back each day this week to collect your notes and get started working up your collection!  And as always, I'm around to help if you need me.  The best way to reach me is my Facebook page...send me a message anytime!

Sofia the First Blanket Buddy - Free notes

So, I've been quiet on here for a while working on super hero Blanket Buddies...I've been trying to knock out as many as I can!  I just celebrated 15 years married to my best friend Kevin and to extend the celebration, I ran a sale on all my patterns.  Well, you all were ah-MAZ-ing and purchased a bunch...thank you so much!!  I was so pleased that I finally finished up my next free notes for use with the Pretty Princess Lovey pattern by Bowtykes.

As requested, I give you Sofia the First!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the my free notes, here's how we do it.  First, go to Bowtykes' Pretty Princess Lovey
